The 1957 Plymouth Belvedere, famously known as "Miss Belvedere," was buried as a time capsule in Tulsa, Oklahoma. To protect it from moisture during its 50-year entombment, the car was coated in a cosmoline-like substance and then wrapped in layers of sealed plastic.
Unfortunately, despite these efforts, the vault flooded, and the car was found in very poor condition when it was unearthed in 2007.
